Garlic scapes are the edible flower stem that shoots up from our specialty hard neck garlic. The scape shoots up from the center of the garlic plant, loops around twice, then straightens out. When picked as a young scape, it has a delicate garlic flavor which can be added to many recipes, including sauces, soups, chicken recipes, pesto, and salads.
